Seatius
Designed for global exploration, Seatius is a high-performance SW96 sailing yacht built by the renowned Southern Wind shipyard. The vessel represents a masterful collaboration between Nauta Design and Studio Hermanides, where Jeroen Machielsen worked alongside the client and the project team to translate the owner’s personal taste into the yacht’s interior decoration. Engineered to navigate any sea with exceptional speed and safety, the vessel beautifully marries cutting-edge marine architecture with the sophisticated warmth of a luxury residence.
The interior architecture centers on an intuitive sense of flow, open spaces, and an abundance of natural light. Panoramic windows flood the raised main saloon, creating a bright and welcoming environment where guests can gather at the custom dining table or relax on tailored sofas. Studio Hermanides curated a tactile palette of pure materials, refined textiles, and bespoke finishes, ensuring that every area, from the private forward owner’s suite to the dedicated TV media lounge, feels luxurious yet entirely functional while at sea.
This meticulous approach to decoration and styling earned Seatius widespread international acclaim from the superyacht industry. The project won the prestigious title for Best Interior Design in Sailing Yachts at the Boat International Design and Innovation Awards, and was further honored as the best sailing yacht in her category at the International Superyacht Society Awards. Seatius stands as a premier example of maritime luxury, proving that elite performance and curated, personal styling can coexist in perfect harmony.
